On the other hand, a hypothesis is a theory that has been postulated and stands to be proved by the research in case it is true or false. Therefore, thesis statement is more definite and do not need to be proved, unlike a hypothesis which is just a postulation and must be proved by an experiment. 2) A thesis statement is a line within a paragraph which gives the reader a limelight of what the writer’s argument is, it is like a roadmap. On the other hand, a hypothesis is a statement which is listed and can be numbered. There can be many hypotheses about the research that can be tested by the research if they are true or false. 3) Through a thesis statement, the reader can get a glimpse of what the storyline or the essay is all about since it states what you need to find in the essay and sometimes, the side of the argument taken by the writer.
